Builder Biography

Matthew Paolino
Managing Principal

Mr Paolino is responsible for company operations, product production and overall quality and integrity of building projects. Beginning in the late 1980′s the company seen growth moving from seeing yearly sales of $2 million to present day of nearly $10 million yearly thus becoming a fundamental leading Builder in Radnor Township as well as the surrounding townships. Throughout these 20+ years of growth, Mr. Paolino has proven himself as a home builder with a proven market for a product of quality and resaleability while maintaining many long term relationships with clientele. Paolino Development has continued to diversify its product as well in recent times, by adding apartments complexes, industrial parcels, and becoming a licensed builder in the state of New Jersey thus adding a portfolio of projects on the New Jersey coast and in the Hamptons.

Subsequent to Paolino Development, Mr. Paolino sat on the Board of Directors and was Senior Vice President of publicly traded Mace Securities. There, his efforts were in product development and land acquisition aiding the team in their efforts to nationally acquire wash operations and create a diversified product offering. Prior to Mace, Mr. Paolino served on the Board of Directors of Eastern Environmental, a publicly traded solid waste management company that was eventually merged with Waste Management thus helping create one of the largest waste management company in the world.

Early on, Mr. Paolino worked in his second generation family owned company Joseph Paolino & Sons which owned and operated heavy highway construction and redevelopment divisions primarily focused on resurfacing and rebuilding of major roads/projects throughout the Philadelphia Region.
As the company continued its growth it expanded to include numerous environmental service companies including, a primary trash transfer stations and a shipping port on Girard Avenue. Mr. Paolino was actively responsible for management of some of the company’s major projects which included multi million dollar revitalization of major infrastructures in the Philadelphia region inlcuding projects on the Walt Whitman Bridge, airport expansion projects at Philadelphia International Airport, and remodeling of the PATCO high speed line. With great insight the company refocused, changing over their asphalt operations to a soil remediation facility which was then acquired by Waste Management. Mr. Paolino graduated from Villanova University with Chi Epsilon honors in Civil Engineering and earned a Juris Doctor degree from Widener School of Law.

 

CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT

Rick Salamone
Senior Manager, Construction and Development

Rick Salamone is the Senior Manager and has previously being in the role of Project Manager for over 20 year. He currently holds the position of overseeing the various onsite project managers. Originally holding a position with J.Paolino and Sons, overseeing renovations, refittings and projects in day to day operations of the company’s many various sites. Mr. Salamone joined Paolino Development as Project Manager over 20 years ago to handle complex renovations, property conversions and general site management always with the need of the customer in mind. Matt and RIck work very closely in order to continue to put clients first to best serve their needs and produce quaility first work.

 

DAILY OPERATIONS AND Client Relations

Kristin Shevlin
Manager, materials, clients & office operations

Ms. Shevlin’s primary responsibilities include managing the company’s day to day operations including office operations as well as holding the role of materials management and client services. When a project is begun with a client rather than for spec, her responsibility has been to be the point person coordinating daily with the client, builder and subcontractors so that the timeline is held and the project is completed according to the schedule. Along with keeping the project on schedule, Ms. Shevlin works closely to ensure quaility materials are purchased in accordance with price points and specifications and are received, checked in and inspected with the Project Manager prior to installation. Ms. Shevlin attended Widener University where she earned her degree.

 

DEVELOPMENT

Lori Ciesielski Paolino
Acquisition and Development

Mrs. Paolino works primarily as the acquisition manager and Real Estate liaison for Paolino Development. She has held her Pennsylvania license for 15+ years and works out of the Prudential Fox and Roach offices in Bryn Mawr. Working closely along side investors, realtors, she comes from a long line of Civil Engineers. Her late father, Dr. Stanley K. Ciesielski, PE was a principal at Doran Surveying in Newtown Square and a professor of Civil Engineering at Villanova University. He worked closely with builders and townships and was at one time the Township Engineer for Edgemont, PA.

Subsequent to Paolino Development, Mrs. Paolino was aquality control consultant and was ISO certified. Lorcon, Inc., her consulting business would develop the Quality Manuals for manufacturing companies so they could be presented and become ISO certified. For 10 years prior, Mrs. Paolino worked at Troemner, a privately held manufacturing company that produces high quality lab equipment that is privately labeled to companies such as VWR scientific. Among the roles held were Material Manager, Safety Manager and QMR. Mrs. Paolino earned her BS in Business Administration from Villanova University.
